Final Great Britain rowers named after trial

Tom Solesbury and Robin Bourne-Taylor have been named in Great Britain’s Olympic men’s pair after pipping Athens Olympian Toby Garbett in a late trial.

Garbett last week won an appeal against being dropped from the squad but could not come through in an eleventh-hour selection race in Austria.

Alex Gregory and Tom Parker have been named as reserves, ahead of Garbett, with Alice Freeman the women’s reserve.
